Oma Iwere Itsekiri Organization Inc., New York, New Jersey (Oma Iwere NY/NJ) is a charitable, cultural organization formed in August 1990 by a group of well-meaning Itsekiri sons and daughters in New York City to bring together all Itsekiri people resident in the tri state areas of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.

Oma Iwere NYNJ is hosting a fundraising event, on July 27, 2024. The venue and address of this event is Holiday Inn Newark Airport Hotel at 160 Frontage Road, Newark, NJ 07114. With the theme: “Caring Hearts, Helping Hands, Every Child Counts”, the fundraising goal is to assist three orphanage homes in Nigeria. The homes are:

Eagle Hand Orphanage Home, Warri Delta State, Nigeria.
Potter’s House Orphanage Home, Warri, Delta State, Nigeria.
We see substantial needs for assistance to the children and wards of these homes in Nigeria. This fundraising event is the first attempt to address the multifaceted challenges facing orphanage homes in the communities we are interacting with.
